Heather R. Stoneman received her undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998, and she graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Colorado School of Law in 2001, where she was also a finalist in the Law School’s Annual Moot Court Competition. During law school, Ms. Stoneman helped found a Family Law/Domestic Violence Assistance Clinic at Boulder County Courthouse, and she also earned a Certificate in Human Rights Law from the University of the Western Cape of South Africa. Ms. Stoneman received her LLM in Taxation at Golden Gate University School of Law.
Ms. Stoneman is admitted to practice law in the State of California. She is an active member of the San Francisco County Bar Association and the Golden Gate Business Association. Since 2001, Ms. Stoneman has been practicing in the areas of family and business planning, probate, trust and estate administration, and conservatorships.
Ms. Stoneman actively volunteers at the San Francisco AIDS Legal Referral Panel where she represents disenfranchised and low-income family members in family law issues, estate planning concerns, and conservatorship proceedings. She is also a Director on the Board of Breathe, formerly known as the American Cancer Society. Ms. Stoneman also works closely with her neighborhood community center to conduct seminars for seniors in the areas of estate planning and conservatorships, and she serves on a panel that addresses its panel to answer complicated probate issues.
